Staff onboarding & offboarding

New starter waiting on IT, or a leaver still has access? We'll handle both properly.

  • New starters wait days
  • Each new person is set
  • Former staff can still sign
  • Nobody is sure which accounts

A new employee without a working computer loses their first days, and a departing one who keeps access is a risk. We prepare devices and set up accounts for new staff, and remove access and recover equipment when people leave, following a checklist every time.

  • Same-day or next-day, where available
  • Onsite across Perth, or remote
  • No lock-in contract
  • Business and home IT
Common problems

Are new starters left waiting for logins?

  • New starters wait days for a computer, email or logins
  • Each new person is set up differently
  • Former staff can still sign in to email or files
  • Nobody is sure which accounts a leaver had
  • Company laptops and phones aren't returned or wiped

How we fix it

How we handle joiners and leavers

  1. Agree your checklist

What each role needs: device, accounts, apps, shared folders and access.

  2. Prepare before day one

The device is set up and accounts created before the person starts.

  3. Run a first-day walkthrough

A short session so new staff can start working straight away.

  4. Remove access on time

When someone leaves, we disable their accounts, change shared passwords and transfer their email and files.

  5. Recover and wipe devices

Company devices are wiped and prepared for the next person.

  6. Keep a record

Notes on what was set up or removed, and when.

What this service doesn't cover Buying new computers. See Computer setup & supply.

How it works

From brief to done, in three steps

  1. Tell us what needs to change

Book online or call. Tell us how many people and mailboxes are involved, and what you want to achieve.

  2. We confirm the plan and scope

Before work starts, we confirm what's included, the order of work and any interruption to email.

  3. We complete the work

Onsite or remotely, scheduled to keep disruption to your business low.

Questions

Staff onboarding answered

How much notice do you need?+

The more the better, especially if a new computer is needed. Let us know as soon as a start or finish date is set.

What happens to a leaver's email?+

We can forward it to a colleague, convert it to a shared mailbox, or keep it for your records.

Can this be done remotely?+

Account changes are usually done remotely. Device setup and handover can be done onsite.

Do we need to tell you each time someone joins or leaves?+

Yes. We act on your instructions, so let us know whenever staff join or leave.
