Multi-factor authentication

One stolen password away from losing your email? We'll add a second lock to every account.

  • Email and Microsoft 365
  • Some people have MFA
  • People reuse the same password
  • Shared accounts can't use MFA

Most email takeovers start with a password that was guessed, reused or phished. Multi-factor authentication (MFA) adds a second check, usually a tap on your phone, so a stolen password alone isn't enough. We switch it on across your accounts and help each person set it up, without locking anyone out.

  • Same-day or next-day, where available
  • Onsite across Perth, or remote
  • No lock-in contract
  • Business and home IT
Common problems

Is a password all that protects your accounts?

  • Email and Microsoft 365 or Google accounts use a password only
  • Some people have MFA and others don't
  • People reuse the same password across sites
  • Shared accounts can't use MFA the way they're set up
  • You've been asked about MFA by a client or your insurer

How we fix it

How we roll out MFA

  1. List your accounts

Email, Microsoft 365 or Google, and other important business apps.

  2. Choose the method

Usually an authenticator app on each person's phone, with a backup option.

  3. Sort out shared accounts

Shared logins are changed so MFA can work properly.

  4. Help each person set it up

Onsite or remotely, one at a time, so nobody gets locked out.

  5. Switch it on for everyone

MFA becomes required once everyone is set up.

  6. Hand over

Notes on how to help someone with a new phone, and how to recover access.

How it works

From brief to done, in three steps

  1. Tell us what needs to change

Book online or call. Tell us how many people and mailboxes are involved, and what you want to achieve.

  2. We confirm the plan and scope

Before work starts, we confirm what's included, the order of work and any interruption to email.

  3. We complete the work

Onsite or remotely, scheduled to keep disruption to your business low.

Questions

MFA answered

What if someone loses their phone?+

We set up a backup way to sign in, and show you how to reset MFA for a new phone.

Do we need to pay for MFA?+

MFA is included with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Some extra options depend on your plan.

Will it slow people down?+

Only a little. Most people tap their phone occasionally, not every time.

Can staff without a work phone use it?+

Yes. There are options, and we'll find one that suits each person.
