PST import and export answered
What is a PST file?+
It's a file Outlook uses to store email, contacts and calendars on a computer. They were common before email moved online.
Will importing PST files fill up our mailbox?+
Large imports can, so we often import into an online archive instead. We check available space before starting.
Can you export a mailbox for a legal request?+
Yes, we can export a mailbox to PST. For formal legal processes, follow your lawyer's advice on what's required.
Should we keep PST files long term?+
It's better to import them into your online archive, where they're searchable and included in your backups, than to keep them on one computer.
