Email migration

Changing email providers? We'll plan the move so your business keeps working.

  • Email is on a web
  • Internet provider is closing
  • You're moving to Microsoft 365
  • You're using a mix

Moving from cPanel hosting, an internet provider's email or Google to Microsoft 365, or the other way, can leave gaps in email, contacts and calendars if it's rushed. We plan the migration, move each mailbox and switch your domain at a scheduled time so mail keeps flowing.

  • Same-day or next-day, where available
  • Onsite across Perth, or remote
  • No lock-in contract
  • Business and home IT
Common problems

Common reasons to change email providers

  • Your email is on a web hosting or cPanel account that keeps running out of space
  • Your internet provider is closing or changing its email service
  • You're moving to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
  • You're using a mix of old and new email systems
  • Mailboxes are slow, unreliable or hard to reach away from the office

Moving from one Microsoft 365 account to another? That needs a different approach. See Tenant-to-tenant email migration.

How we fix it

How we migrate your email

  1. Review what you have

We count mailboxes, check their size, and note shared addresses, forwarding and anything unusual.

  2. Plan the switchover

We agree a timetable, including when your domain moves to the new provider.

  3. Set up the new accounts

Users, shared addresses and permissions are ready before any mail moves.

  4. Copy existing mail

Email, folders, contacts and calendars are copied across while the old system keeps working.

  5. Switch the domain

At the agreed time, we point your domain to the new provider and copy anything that arrived during the move.

  6. Check everything works

We confirm each person's mail, calendar and devices are working properly.

Review, plan, copy, switch.
How it works

From brief to done, in three steps

  1. Tell us what needs to change

Book online or call. Tell us how many people and mailboxes are involved, and what you want to achieve.

  2. We confirm the plan and scope

Before work starts, we confirm what's included, the order of work and any interruption to email.

  3. We complete the work

Onsite or remotely, scheduled to keep disruption to your business low.

Questions

Email migration answered

Will we lose any emails?+

We copy mail before the switchover and again after it, so messages that arrive during the move are picked up. Some older systems limit what can be exported, and we'll tell you upfront if that applies.

How long will email be interrupted?+

Most of the work happens while the old system is still running. The switchover is scheduled for a quiet time, and we confirm the timing with you beforehand.

Can you migrate calendars and contacts?+

Yes, where the old provider allows them to be exported. Some basic email hosting doesn't store calendars at all.

Do you need to come onsite?+

Most migration work is done remotely. We come onsite to set up devices or when it suits you.

How long does a migration take?+

It depends on the number and size of mailboxes. We'll give you a timeline when we confirm the scope.
