Data backup

Not sure your business files are backed up? We'll set it up and test it.

  • Nobody is sure what's backed
  • Business records exist on one
  • Backups exist but have
  • NAS or external drive is

Hardware failure, theft or a fire can wipe out years of business records if nobody is sure what's backed up. We set up backups for your computers, servers and NAS storage, keep a copy away from your premises, and test that files can be restored.

  • Same-day or next-day, where available
  • Onsite across Perth, or remote
  • No lock-in contract
  • Business and home IT
Common problems

Could you recover if a computer failed tomorrow?

  • Nobody is sure what's backed up, or where
  • Business records exist on one computer or drive only
  • Backups exist but have never been tested
  • A NAS or external drive is the only copy of important files
  • You'd struggle to keep working if your server or main computer failed

Backing up Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace email and files? See Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace backup.

How we fix it

How we set up your backups

  1. Find what matters

Which files, systems and computers hold important business information.

  2. Design the right backup

Usually an on-site copy for quick restores, and an offsite copy in case the premises are affected.

  3. Set it up

Automatic backups for computers, servers and NAS storage (a dedicated storage system on your network).

  4. Test a restore

We restore real files to prove the backup works.

  5. Write a recovery plan

Plain-English steps for what to do if something fails.

  6. Recheck when you book us

At each visit, we can confirm backups are still running and test another restore.

What this service doesn't cover Backing up Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace data. That's a separate service.

Original files with an on-site backup copy and an offsite backup copy
One on-site copy for quick restores, one offsite copy in case the premises are affected.
How it works

From brief to done, in three steps

  1. Tell us what needs to change

Book online or call. Tell us how many people and mailboxes are involved, and what you want to achieve.

  2. We confirm the plan and scope

Before work starts, we confirm what's included, the order of work and any interruption to email.

  3. We complete the work

Onsite or remotely, scheduled to keep disruption to your business low.

Questions

Data backup answered

Isn't OneDrive or Dropbox a backup?+

Not on its own. Sync services copy deletions and damage too. A separate backup keeps older versions you can go back to.

What is a NAS?+

A dedicated storage system on your network, used for shared files, backup or both.

How often should backups be tested?+

At least a few times a year, and after any major change. We can test a restore whenever you book us.

Can you recover data if we don't have a backup?+

Sometimes, depending on what failed. We'll assess it and tell you plainly what's possible before going further.
