Secure disposal

Old computers and files still holding client ID? We'll dispose of them properly, with a record.

  • Old computers sit in
  • Retired phones still hold photos
  • Drives from old servers
  • Closed client files still hold

Client ID doesn't disappear when a computer is replaced or a file is closed. Old laptops, phones, drives and forgotten folders can still hold it years later. We securely erase devices, arrange physical destruction of drives through our destruction partner where needed, delete records you no longer need to keep, and give you a record of what was done.

  • Same-day or next-day, where available
  • Onsite across Perth, or remote
  • No lock-in contract
  • Business and home IT
Common problems

Where does old client ID end up?

  • Old computers sit in a cupboard waiting to be dealt with
  • Retired phones still hold photos of client ID
  • Drives from old servers or copiers have never been wiped
  • Closed client files still hold ID long after they're needed
  • You have no record showing devices were disposed of properly

Not sure which records you still have? Start with a Client ID data health check.

How we fix it

How secure disposal works

  1. List what's going

Computers, phones, drives and records due for disposal.

  2. Confirm what must be kept

You confirm which records can be deleted. We don't decide that for you.

  3. Erase devices securely

Devices that will be reused or sold are securely erased.

  4. Destroy drives where needed

Drives that can't be reused are physically destroyed through our destruction partner.

  5. Delete digital records

Agreed records are deleted from systems and backups where possible.

  6. Give you a record

A written record of each device and what was done.

What this service doesn't cover Deciding how long you must keep records. Check AUSTRAC's guidance or your compliance adviser.

How it works

From brief to done, in three steps

  1. Tell us what needs to change

Book online or call. Tell us how many people and mailboxes are involved, and what you want to achieve.

  2. We confirm the plan and scope

Before work starts, we confirm what's included, the order of work and any interruption to email.

  3. We complete the work

Onsite or remotely, scheduled to keep disruption to your business low.

What you get

What you get

  • Devices securely erased or physically destroyed
  • Agreed records deleted
  • A written record of what was done
  • Old equipment cleared out properly

We're not AML/CTF compliance advisers. We help with the IT and data security side of handling client ID. For what your obligations are, check AUSTRAC's guidance or speak with your compliance adviser.

Questions

Secure disposal answered

Do you destroy drives yourselves?+

We securely erase devices ourselves, and arrange physical destruction of drives through our destruction partner.

Do we get proof?+

Yes. You get a written record of each device and what was done to it.

Can old computers be reused after erasing?+

Often, yes. Secure erasing means they can be reused, donated or sold.

Can you delete records from backups too?+

Where the backup allows it. Some backups keep copies until they expire, and we'll explain what that means for you.
