Outlook stopping you from working? We'll find the cause and resolve it.
- Crashing or freezing
- Password prompts
- Stuck in the Outbox
- Slow to open
When Outlook crashes, freezes or keeps asking for passwords, you lose time and email backs up. An experienced technician diagnoses what's actually wrong, resolves it onsite or remotely, and explains the cause in plain English. No ongoing contract required.
- Same-day or next-day, where available
- Onsite across Perth, or remote
- No lock-in contract
- Business and home IT
Outlook problems we resolve
- Outlook crashes, closes on its own or shows "Not responding"
- It keeps asking for a password, even after you enter it
- Search finds nothing, or misses recent emails
- Emails sit in the Outbox and won't send
- Outlook takes minutes to open or switch folders
- Calendars, contacts or shared mailboxes are missing or out of sync
- Problems started after a Windows or Microsoft 365 update, or after switching to the new Outlook
Not sure it's Outlook? If email isn't arriving for anyone in the business, the cause is usually mail delivery rather than Outlook. See Email not sending or receiving.
How we resolve Outlook problems
Diagnose where the problem sits
We check whether the fault is in Outlook, the computer or the email account, so we resolve the cause rather than clear the symptom.
Check the Outlook profile and mailbox data
Outlook keeps a profile (its settings for each account) and a copy of your mail on this computer. If either is damaged, crashes and slowdowns follow. We repair or rebuild them, and confirm your mailbox data is safe before making changes.
Remove software conflicts
Add-ins (small extras that plug into Outlook) and some security software can stop it working properly. We find what's conflicting and disable or reconfigure it.
Resolve sign-in and password prompts
We clear saved sign-in details that no longer match and check how Outlook connects to Microsoft 365 or your email provider.
Restore search and update Outlook
We rebuild Outlook's search catalogue so it finds emails again, and update or repair Outlook so it runs on a supported version.
Test with the person using it
We confirm mail, calendar, contacts and search are working properly before we finish.

Outlook troubleshooting answered
Can you resolve Outlook problems remotely?+
Often, yes. With your approval, a technician connects to the computer through a remote session. If the problem needs hands-on work, we arrange an onsite visit.
Will we lose any emails?+
If your email runs on Microsoft 365 or Exchange, your mail is stored online, so repairing Outlook on a computer doesn't delete it. If older emails are kept in Outlook data files on this computer (PST files), we check and back them up before making changes.
Do you support the new Outlook and classic Outlook?+
Yes. We work with both on Windows, and can help if switching between them has caused problems.
Do you support Outlook on a Mac?+
Yes. We troubleshoot Outlook for Mac as well as Windows, onsite or remotely.
Is the problem Outlook or our email account?+
We check both. If email works in a web browser but not in Outlook, the fault is usually on the computer. If it fails everywhere, we look at the account or mail service.
How long does it take?+
Many single-computer issues are resolved in one session. If it needs more time, we'll explain why and confirm before continuing.
Several people have the same problem. What does that mean?+
A shared cause is likely, such as an update or an account setting. We check central settings as well as individual computers.
